
1. Where will the children's session be held?
Kids@GDOP will be held at the north-end ground-floor VIP rooms (See map). Children will be ushered to the rooms after registration. They will remain there till the session ends and will remain in the rooms until parents/guardians have fetched them.
2. How many places are available?
The rooms can accommodate an estimated 300 children for the 3.00 pm session and 150 children for the 7.00 pm session.
3. What age groups are accepted?
We recommend that participating children be at least 6-years. However, younger children may participate if:
- They are pre-registered in groups (See group registration) AND
- The pre-registered group has sufficient facilitators to engage them.
For individual registrations, both on-line and walk-in, the participant will have to be at least 6-years old.
4. How do I know if my child is registered?
You will receive a confirmation email upon registering on-line. A letter will also be sent to you before 20 May. This letter will contain your child's name, the registration number, a detailed map and suggestions on what to do.
5. Where do should I bring my child on the day of the event?
You should bring your child/children to the PREMIERE entrance (Ground-floor, North-east entrance) to sign them in and to collect your tag. You and your family will also be able allowed to proceed to the GDOP 2010 main sitting area via this GDOP Kids entrance. Please note that this arrangement is only for parents/families accompanying registered children.
6. Will there be vacancies for walk-in registrations?
Walk-in registrations are accepted subject to space availability - hence we recommend that you pre-register your children to ensure a place! Walk-in registration is at the PREMIERE entrance (Ground-floor, North-east entrance).
7. What if there is no more vacancies for my child/children?
Children are welcome at the main service and can stay with their parents for the duration of the event should there not be any vacancies left at the Children GDOP!
8. How can I fetch my child/children at the end of the session?
Parents will be issued a coloured tag with the child's particulars at the registration/drop-off counter. At the end of the main service, you may proceed to the ground-floor arena and then to the north-east entrance of the stage. You must produce your Confirmation letter and tag before you are allowed to fetch your child.
For the children's safety, you will be allowed-in to the Kids@GDOP area in batches to fetch the children. Please wait patiently for your turn.
9. Can I stay with my child/children?
For the safety of the children, only registered volunteer facilitators will be allowed in the Kids@GDOP area.
10. For chartered bus, what time should I arrange for bus pick-up?
Kids@GDOP is expected to end at about 5.00pm and 9.00pm respectively. You may arrange for pick-up at about 5.20pm and 9.20pm.
